GREETINGS! We are thrilled to help you bring your book to the world. We  have found that it helps authors feel most comfortable when they understand the service delivery process in detail. This way you know what to expect, and we can avoid any miscommunications or unnecessary complications.  

We are extremely committed to ensuring your happiness throughout this process and  helping you create the most professional and marketable product possible. As hundreds  of our clients can attest, we’ll move mountains for you if we can, but please understand  there are limits to the time and energy that come with each project’s price range.  

This document details what to expect from our marketing, publishing path, and cover design strategy sessions as well as our StoryStorming and Book Success Strategy Sessions. It also includes general editor, agent, or other publishing professional consultations. 

How Your Consultation Works

Before Your Session

  • You’ll submit any materials requested for your specific consultation. (Aside from specific requests from your consultant, see the details  for each session below.)
  • Your editor will review everything in advance and prepare talking points, resources, and personalized guidance.

During Your Session

  • You’ll meet with your editor for a focused 60-minute phone or video call.
  • This is your time to ask questions, explore ideas, and work through challenges with an experienced publishing professional.
  • Your editor will guide the conversation to ensure you walk away with clarity and direction.

After Your Session

  • You’ll receive a follow-up email that may include notes, resources, reading recommendations, next steps, and any tools referenced during your call.

 

StoryStorming: Plot & Character Brainstorming Session

This session is your one-on-one writer’s room—a collaborative space to help you move past plot blocks, character issues, or story structure challenges.

What to Submit

  • Your full manuscript or a selected portion (such as the beginning or the area where you’re stuck)
  • A 2–3 page synopsis outlining your plot, themes, and primary character arc
  • Your brief list of top concerns or questions around where your story is stuck

What Your Editor Will Do

  • Read your materials ahead of time
  • Identify potential solutions for structure, character, or pacing concerns
  • Prepare questions and ideas to help you move forward
